Darn that Ticketmaster. They sure know how to ruin a good surprise! The timing is a bit off–David is, after all, touring in Asia right now, and that should be the focus, but Ticketmaster can’t keep a secret, and David’s fans are very skilled at rooting out information! (See Snarkys.) Our Very Reliable Source let us know that David will be touring with Demi Lovato this summer.

The tour dates will be announced soon. I think the idea was to announce everything at once, but it’s all good. Demi Lovato, 16, played Mitchie Torres in Disney Channel’s Camp Rock and currently plays Sonny Monroe on Disney Channel’s Sonny With a Chance. Her latest film project is a starring role in Jonas Brothers: The 3D Experience. Her debut album Don’t Forget was released in 2008 and debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200. Demi Lovato and John Mayer are having a Twittermance. Yes, we’re coining that term. For the past three weeks, the Disney star and the singer/songwriter have been having public conversations with each other through @messages on Twitter.
