In the Disney world, entertainers must strike while the iron is hot. When Miley Cyrus isn’t recording, touring and on television, she’s on the silver screen. The Jonas Brothers have released three albums in a year.

Demi Lovato is about to put out her second album, the aptly titled “Here We Go Again,” in late July. The disc hits the bins just 10 months after the release of her debut “Don’t Forget.” Lovato, 16, is hardly slacking while not in the studio or touring. She stars in the Disney series “Sonny with a Chance,” which debuted in February.

“Camp Rock”‘s Demi Lovato and special guest “American Idol” runner-up David Archuleta have canceled their Aug. 18 concert at Van Andel Arena.

“We were informed by the promoter that there was a scheduling conflict,” Rich MacKeigan, regional general manager for Van Andel Arena and DeVos Place.

Sophia & Adriana, both sisters who are a huge Demi fans aare going to watch Demi in concert in Greensboro, NC and they got VIP Tickets which includes a meet and greet with her before the show. They are going to make Demi a customized pillowcase of as many fans’ pictures as they can get on there.

Philadelphia’s Radio Disney AM 640 are giving kids the chance to win sold out Demi Lovato and Jonas Brothers concert tickets this weekend.

The Radio Disney Crew will be on site at various locations in the Philadelphia area playing great music and games, giving away prizes and registering kids to win tickets to see Disney Star sensations Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers’ concerts in Philadelphia.

Demi Lovato will be live in concert on Saturday, June 27th at Philadelphia’s Mann Center and the Jonas Brothers World Tour 2009’s concerts will be held Thursday, July 23rd and Friday, July 24th at South Philly’s Wachovia Center.

It’s been a bit of a hectic year for Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez, as the 16-year-old teen idols – and real-life best friends – have seen their fame grow exponentially. From their respective Disney Channel shows (Gomez’s Wizards of Waverly Place and Lovato’s Sonny with a Chance) to Lovato’s starring turn in the Jonas Brothers’ made-for-TV movie Camp Rock to their music careers, the pair has been going nonstop for the last 12 months. Their fans, meanwhile, can’t seem to get enough; hardly a week goes by without Gomez or Lovato getting mobbed by eager admirers.

“It’s strange and I’m still awkward with it,” Lovato says. “It’s definitely weird to walk into a place and have people know who you are.”

But there is an advantage to sharing such a crazy life with an equally famous best friend, as Gomez and Lovato got to combine their personal and professional lives for their new made-for-TV movie, Princess Protection Program (airing July 26 on Family Channel). Lovato plays Princess Rosalina Maria Montoya Fiore, the soon-to-be ruler of the tiny nation of Costa Luna; when her country is invaded by an evil general, the princess must disguise herself as the cousin of Carter (Gomez), a tomboyish high school girl in Lousiana who is none-too-pleased about teaching her royal ward the ropes.

Strangely enough, it’s Gomez who seems like the one who would struggle with her role. Smartly dressed and hair perfectly coifed, the teenager speaks with an air of confidence and maturity beyond that of most adults; it’s difficult to imagine her as a rough, immature high school student. But Gomez quickly puts that misconception to rest.

“Power of hair and makeup,” she insists, laughing. “Growing up, I was definitely more of a tomboy. I was one of the guys and had a lot of guy friends growing up. Not until recently did I become more girly, and dressing up and wearing heels.”

Demi Lovato considers acting her hobby and calls music her “No. 1 passion.”

Regardless of how she looks at things, the Dallas-born Disney star’s career is on the rise on two entertainment stages.

Lovato (born Demetria Devonne Lovato to parents of Irish, Italian and Hispanic ancestry) is headlining her first concert tour. The 47-city tour kicked off June 21, with Houston and Grand Prairie the only Texas stops.

She also stars alongside BFF Selena Gomez in the Disney Channel original movie “Princess Protection Program,” premiering Friday, June 26.

Lovato, 16, recently talked to Conexión about her Disney projects (“Camp Rock” and “Sonny with a Chance”), her upcoming album and what it’s like playing a princess opposite her BFF.

Tell us about “Princess Protection Program” and what you liked best about your role?

I play Rosalinda, a princess who has to leave her country for her own safety. When I first read the script, I loved the fact that she’s not snobby. She just doesn’t know another life besides her own. She’s sent to Louisiana where she meets a tomboy named Carter (played by Gomez) who has to teach her how to fit in at school. They both learn a lot from each other.

What do you think the characters learn that had the biggest impact on you?

I think the film is about the value of friendship. No matter what else you have, your friends are special and an important part of your life. They are the ones who support you no matter what. Read the rest of this entry »

Demi Lovato has done a pretty good job, in her very young career, of keeping her name out of the gossip pages. But recently, rumors began to circulate that 16-year-old Lovato was dating Miley Cyrus’ 20-year-old brother Trace, of Metro Station.

Although she attempted to clear up the rumor on her Twitter page, we wanted to get the lowdown straight from Lovato herself.

“I’m single! Yeah, I’m definitely single,” she told MTV News. When asked who she would love to date, she left the answer open: “I can’t say!
